still mp3 player restarts and cnt play more than 100 mb song

Hi..
I am using mp4 player of 256 mb. From mp3 disk tool ..i am seeing 247 mb memory...but whenever i go for uploading songs or movie in amv format it takes whatever i upload. but at time of playing it plays only songs upto 95-100 mb for songs or viedos upto 95-100 mb.
i formated the player..nd still it shows me 247 mb in mp3 player disk tool...
why it happens..as u said if it is hacked..then it must show in mp3 player disk tool also that reduce memory...but in my case it is showing 247 mb.

when i purchased this player from a rediff site.. the vendor clearly mentioned that u can play song only upto 115 mb.... or u can use 256 mb full for storage of data..

another question i have...nowdays my player is restarting frequently...and when it starts then it shows me chinise language...everytime i have to again change it to english language..what shold i do..i even formated the player...is ther any chance of static problem...!!

what type of player is it a nano clone or another type?

Can you put more than 100MB on to the device?

Have your tried to update the firmware?

Try to get your FW on your pc and run the repair batch! ;D

My best bet is to FORMAT your player first.
This should remove any hacks done to the player to show more memory.

Try that and see how much memory it shows afterwards.

What is a "rediff site"?
Would be interested to mention it to others to warn them as well.

MP3 Players are sold under auctions and shopping category and most of them seem to be hacked as the sellers mention that one cannot store more than a limited no of songs! and warn that it would restart after certain number of songs which would be the case of a hacked player. Unfortunately there is no contact info available for any of the players nor the site!
