Default Charging

Hi
I just recently got a nano lookalike mp4 player and I would like to know how to get the most out of my battery. Should I only recharge it when it is out of battery or just constantly charge it when I get the chance?

No, I believe for lithium ion batteries (and maybe also the lithuium polymer batteries), you should charge often; and not wait until it discharges. You can find out about this at battery university .com.

fonz , it varies from player to player, and battery to battery. As a rough guide, charging via computer's USB usually takes about 1.5 to 2hours for a full charge. Whilst using the AC adaptor usually would be much faster, somewhere between 20 to 30mins.

However, it is not recommended to charge via the AC adaptor as it is known to have caused damage to players in the past.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

What are you saying there? Fully charging from USB or the AC adapter takes about 2-3 hours on my player. Don't be fooled by the battery animation which stops after a pretty short time, as it isn't accurate at all.

Th3_uN1Qu3 , like i have already mentioned, the charging time varies between players and between batteries. Your player may take 2-3 hours, my player may take 20-30mins.

The charging time depends on the battery's mAh and as well the charger's charge current. So probably your battery has a very high mAh, or your charger has a very low charge current. Which either one of these reasons results in a longer charge time.

Most likely it's the second one, as my player's battery only lasts for about 3-3.5 hours. But high charge currents drastically shorten the battery's lifetime, so i'm okay with my charge times.
