I reformated the drive and reloaded the songs everything was fine..... then i wanted to organize my music so i right clicked on my 8 gig drive (theres 2 drives; drive :G and drive:I, drive G has 8 gigs drive :I has 109 mb) and made a new file and named it Rock.... when i opened this new file there was already stuff inside, so i deleted it..... some of the files coudlnt delete so i formated the drive yet again. This time i formated both drives.... when i replugged the ipod only one drive showed up this time...... and the drive only had 109 mb...... now my ipod is screwed, i need help how do i get my other drive back? thnks

Rugby Boy, Most if not all of the 4GB and 8GB players on the market are actually much smaller chips hacked so that they appear to be 4&8GB. Usually they start having problems when you start loading and using more space than the real drive has. When you format them you remove the hack and end up with the real size being revealed i your case about 128MB.

This will help you find out the true size of your memory chip.

If you have been ripped off with a hacked player by a seller submit a report to www.ic3.gov

Rugby Boy

I agree with tadad.

What I would suggest is, if it's new and still under warranty, try to return it to the seller and get a refund or something else that's TRUE size.

How much did you buy it for by the way?

Good luck.
