[solved] 1.5 Ipod Clone Firmware

Recently I bought a mp4 ipod from China. My question is like I can see which are the firmwares that I can install and and where can I do download. Another one question is itself does not exist a way of increase the volume without be in the menu.

expanium, If you have just bought your player it most likely has the most current version of firmware for your model and you have nothing to gain and everything to lose by trying to upgrade it.

I suggest you enjoy your player as is and if you want to safely change the theme then follow the instructions on How to Modify your Firmware here

With your type of player it is not possible to adjust the volume without the menu.

Yes I understand, thanks.
Another question is about themes by example I already look that some themes doesn´t work in my mp4. Because some images are bigger than default. The themes i can chage is boot and shutdown the others (BackGround Images, Control Images) dont work.
Which are the best application for this mp4:?:

expanium, you should repeat the images but in reverse order (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1)this will give you a smoother animation.

When i update firmware i got error "Invalid upgrade firmware file".
What is it?

My ipod is this (Type C2)

I think that few people have this mp4 model because the majority of the
firmwares, themes and more it is not found for this model. Is that right?

When you extracted your firmware using s1fwx did you run the repair.bat file in the folder after running the extract.bat, if not you need to do that.

Why is it that you need to update the firmware?

If your player plays fine and all you need is to change the 'look' of it, then I suggest you extract the firwmare yourself and then make changes and load it back onto your player.

Yes, It is what I am doing. Barely want to change the 'look' of mp4. Anyway i got the same error when i try to update my firmware (with new look). Another question for this model not way of them exists you set to music appeared in list?

Firstly, make sure you following the instructions on this Knowledge Base - How to: extract firmware of your player using the S1fwx tool from here.

(make sure you run the repair.bat after extracting your firmware)
