SIGMATEL - How To update and backup my firmware?

I got an MP4 that looks like an iPod.
My winXP recognizes it as "SigmaTel MSCN USB Device"
I've been reading all docs about backuping and updating FW, and all of it says about s1fwx,
when I run this program it doesn't find any device, but when a connect it in my usb port windows recognizes it.
what sould i do to backup my Firmware?
