[SOLVED] How To Store Pictures?

Hello. I have a MP4 Player bought from China and it is model GM 6000. I would like to know how to add pictures into my MP4 Player?

ketiakbusuk,

Welceom to the forum.
First thing is to connect your player to your computer using the supplied USB cable.
Once Windows finds it, it will show up as a drive. Generally from "My Computer" it will say something like "D:\Removable Drive".

Copy your pictures into that drive and you're done. Remember to disconnect your MPx player properly as well otherwise you might have problems connecting on again in the futre.

ketiakbusuk, I do not know if all players manage pictures in the same way but I have a folder called Pictures and I can just place images into this folder. It does not seem to matter what size the images are the player resizes them to fit on the screen. I have used .jpg, .bmp, and .gif files and they all show within the player even animated gif files run.

Hope this helps :)

Re: How To Store Pictures?

Thank you for your quick reply. I've stored my .JPG files into my MP4 Player through USB. But the problem is it cannot be displayed and there is no error.

In that case, your player requires them to be in FOLDERS. Try making a folder called "Photos" or "Photo" or "Pictures" or "Pics" and copy your photos to that and see if they player. I know some players require it and some doesn't require them to be in folders.

Let me know.

Hello admin.
I've tried storing the .jpg images into my folder and it still doesn't work.

ketiakbusuk, try .bmp images and see if they work.

Hello tadad1. Long time no see =D. Do I have to convert the images to .bmp? If yes, where do I get the program to convert it?

I think you might have a SUNPLUS chipped player.

If you plug in your MPx to your computer, does it say "Sunplus" when it detects it?

I have a Sunplus player, which requires photos to be in a folder called "PIC". However, the catch is, it seems to only take .BMP files only. I have tried .JPG and .GIF and it won't work.

Try a .BMP file, put it in the PIC folder and see if that works or not.

ketiakbusuk, You can open your pictures in Microsoft Paint and then save them as bitmaps, just try one to see if it works. The problem with bitmap files is they are generally much larger than jpg files and you can not store so many.
