Noise when converting to amv, the original mpg andfile is ok

Hi all, thanks for at great site with a lot of great tips and tricks, I have a problem when converting mpg and avi files to amv files I hear a scratching noise in the background I can hear the correct audio, but this i very low, the picture is ok, I'm using 3.68 and the version 2.2 codec pack both from this site.

I have tried to folow the guide "how to" on this site, but the result is the same.

Please help me out.

Interesting observation. I haven't come across this and yours will be the first post.....

Is this happening with ALL your movie files or only certain ones?
