Default LCD Off doesnt work

I set up the lcd "black" time, and it doesnt work.

In addition I setup the power off time and the player goes off BUT the lcd screen continues lighted, black but lighted. I have to use the power/off switch so the light goes off.

if i hold the play button for few seconds it does the same, the player goes off but the screen stays black but lighted.

Is it a common problem, could it be fixed by firmware update, maybe changing the configuration, or is it a design problem

Thanks in advance,
David

Aiken, On some players you need to make sure the clock is set. Also in LCD settings there are 2 settings one darkle and one black on my player I have to set and accept both options in order to get the LCD sleep function to work properly.

I'm most worried about why when i hold the play button and the player goes off, the screen continues lighted until i manually move the on/off switch to off

I'll let you know if i find a fix

Ok, let us know if that fixes the problem. When you set a clock time, you must remember, NOT to use the "on/off" switch otherwise it will wipe out the time settings you just put on.

On all my players, if I hold down on the "play" button, it will turn off the player and screen goes black. It should do the same with yours.......
