Default [SOLVED]Unable to Copy Songs and Videos

I am unable to Copy Songs and Videos. Whenever i put songs in my Mp4 player (2gb S1 Mp3 Player) they get copied fine but when i run them they either say "Format Error" or the player just restarts but sometimes one or two songs get copied and play fine in the player . After that when i try to play the files unreadable by the player on my computer they become corrupt . The same is with videos . I have tried putting songs and videos in different formats and bitrates but this doesnt help .

Hi
U mean to say u cant load the player to its full capacity?
Load the player with songs fully and then try playing the last files.

These chinese players r faked somtimes they may say 2GB it is actually 256 MB memory chip.
So first load the player to its full capacity and try playing the last files. If it plays its fine If it gives "Format Error" then ur in trouble.

I formatted my player completely and also ran a checkdisk to repair any bad sectors (and it still displays the space as 2 GB) . All worked fine and i was able to put songs and pics in it but now it doesnt run any videos or ebooks . The videos which ran earlier are also not recognized by it . It just displays "FORMAT ERROR" and the vids dont play . as for the .txt files they dont run and when i view them on the pc after copying them from the player as they are filled with gibberish . Is there any problem with the firmware . What should i do ?

THIS FILE CONTAINS EVERYTHING ABOUT MY PLAYER :
DOWNLOAD
(It has the Firmware , Firmware Editor, Player Details , Photos and a Sample Video) - 2.75 MB

manu1991, did you format it as fat or fat32? The formatting must be done in fat I think or else it will cause errors. To be much safer, I always use the format tool that came with my player (in the mp3 utilities cd). It has a few formatting options (quick format, full format, low format). Try all of them one by one and see if that fixes your problem.

For now, don't try messing with the firmware..as you can cause yourself a lot of trouble.

Hope this helps

manu1991, I see the title of this forum now says [solved]. Glad to hear you were able to fix your player. Can you briefly explain how you fixed the problem? It can be a big help to others with similar problems.

I defragmented it and then reinstalled my own firmware which i had backed up earlier . First everything appeared in chinese but then i fiddled a bit and managed to change the language to english .Now everything runs fine . I filled it with 600-700 MB of stuff and it is working fine . As for the MP3 utilities format tool it says my player is not supported but it still reinstalled my firmware . As for the problem i think it arised because i had put as corrupt MP3 file (by mistake) which doesnt run even on my computer and also i did know about the safe removal of USB drive and used to pull it out straight. Anyways thnx a lot for the help ! and did you see my player how is it ? I would just like to say that this site rocks . Also i was planning to create an image of my manual CD and upload it . Would it be useful .

Yeah manu1991, I saw your player...turns out you have the same player as my 2gb player but mine is version 3.5.35.

By the way, I looked at images of your fimware and I don't think I've seen that one before. Nice theme and all. This site has some versions of 3.5.37 but I think it doesn't have one with your theme. Maybe you should upload it on this site.

manu1991, Good to hear you fixed the problem, it seems some problems that can be easily solved just by reloading your own firmware, which is a good thing to know.

Please do upload your cd contents as it will be a valuable resource for all to share. However there is a 10MB upload limit on the site.

Cheers
