Default The MP4 Disc Corrupt

Basically my mp4 player has died i say.

After recieveing it a few times it has comeup disc corrupt when i selected music in the menu. Now i think its either failed the memory or its corrupt basically when i push the toggle to switch on all nothing happens on screen. I never upgraded its firmware or anything. I emaield the manufactures and no reply Came across this site on google and thought yeh maybe i am saved.

Sypmtons;
when connected it sees it as something called AdFUUD. Luckley i have anouther mp4 player so manged to get the divers to install. After this i ran the Rdisk Upgrade tool as it was not shown in mycomputer or anywhere. It cameup and asked for a firmware. after searching i found this site and downloaded a few firmwares one being http://www.mympxplayer.com/dload.php...ile&file_id=46
as thats the one i have the 1 gb one. Tryed and it said some error

Then tryed http://www.mympxplayer.com/dload.php...le&file_id=114 which it liked one of the files for. it said upgrade was a sucess and that the proigram would close which it did but still mp3 player does not turn on even thought its charged etc.

Please can anyone help me.

Suley, If it is coming up as an ADFU device it is in recovery mode so that's a good sign.

I have not heard of Rdisk Upgrade tool could you give me some info on this.

Could you also post some info on your players features and maybe link to a image so we have a better understanding of what type of player you have.

suley, Ok, Rdisk Upgrade tool seems to be a renamed version of the MP# Upgrade Tool.

Do you know what the version number of your firmware was?

You say you have another MP4 player is it the same as the one that is not working?

suley, you still have not found the right firmware. If the upgrade tool is finding your player then it is still recoverable. You have 2 choices you can continue trying different firmware until you find one that works but you could also make things worse, or you could wait till your brother returns and extract and use his firmware.

suley, there is a program called s1fwx 3.0 in the Download\Tools section and there are instructions on how to use it in the Knowledge Base section.

You can use this to extract the firmware from your bothers player run the repair.bat and then use the upgrade tool to upload the dump.bin file to your player.

Update, it did not work. Ive tried my bros and also all the ones on this iste. Only one works from this site. All the others it does not accept.

Here is a clip i made that shows what happens on my desktop. Its a flash file as i recorded it using Macromedia Captive.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4UCTQCNS

As u cans see in the vide it accepts on ansays its been sucessfull. After which my player is still blanc. When i reset the player it still is blanc and comes up as in recovery again.

I had seen this see here

It says that there is a flash error meaning that the flash chip internally is corrupt and needs formatting. I know i have had to format it before of it corrupting its self but it never corrupted its firmware. Anyway to manually format the flash chip. by the way if ur wondering why there are so many failes in the image above its because i tryed the variouse ones and on this site and my bros and it did not accpet them at all
