"Invalid Firmware upgrade file" error
 

Please help. I can't figure out how to upload the downloaded firmwares to my player. I tried the ways listed on the site, but i get a "Invalid Firmware upgrade file" error. I tried opening the extracted firmware with s1res, but that didn't work either. neither did trying to open the downloaded ones..... What is going on???

Where did you download the firmware file from? This site?

It might be that the file is not compatible with your player.

First thing first though, is there a reason why you want to reflash your player with another firmware? I strongly DON'T recommend you do this unless there is an actual problem with your player. DOn't flash it in the hope to get updated features or unlock new things......... it won't unfort do that and will cause your more problems.....
