Is it a 1.5" screen player or 1.8" screen player?
I would say "NO" to any firmware updates. To be honest with you, generally the manufacturer won't spend the money updating firmware on players that are already out there in the market. It will cost them too much time and effort. They will release them with new players.
Updating the firmware on your player with an INCORRECT firmware will give you a good chance of having a 'dead player' so please be wary about that.
Why is it that you want to update your firmware? It's better to just 'reskin' it or customise your player instead of updating it with another firmware if you are interested in that. Otherwise it won't give you any new features.
