Default Restoring reduced memory


If I do a dead player restore would that also restore my reduced memory problem? I have an orginal back up from the s1fwx program of my player. Please help.

Mukieluk, If you had a 4GB player that is showing only 1 or 2GB after a format chances are your chip was never 4GB in the first place. You need to find out the true capacity of your Memory Chip. To do this you need to open the player and note the Brand and Serial number of your chip (the largest one on your board) then either go to the manufacturers web site or do a Google Search with the information and find the true specifications of your chip.

If you find you really do have a 4GB player then chances are there is a way to restore it. If it is only 256MB then that is all it will ever be.
