Default "Cannot move ______: The directory or file cannot be cr

I just bought a 2gb nano look alike. It is really 2gb but it acting really bizarre when I try loading files. Every so often it will give me an error message: "Cannot move _______: The directory or file cannot be created." Is this happening to anyone else?

Try to create folders inside your MP4, then try copying some music into it! ;D

You have a "hacked" player, it isn't 2GB worth of memory, its probably a lot less, its just been formatted to look like it can hold 2GB.

There is a slim chance that it might be a firmware option, look through the forum for support.

I would also recommend you contact the person you bought it from and look for a exchange or refund (i would recommend doing this before you go forth and change the firmware or format the player).

I agree with razzer001.
It looks as if you have a 'hacked' player.
You can always tell by doing a FORMAT of the player and see how much disk space shows up after the format. You might be surprised to see it's less.

If you've only had it recently, swap it as soon as you can BEFORE formatting.

Good luck and let us know if this answers your question.

As i said in the original post. It is a true 2gb player. Right now I have 1.09Gb of files on there. It seems that error does not appear if I put files into a sub folder instead of the root. Thanks for the idea Superboto.

yup, sorry, you don't have a hacked player, i didn't read your orginal post carefully enough.

These players have a 99file per folder/root limit. I think it has something to do with it being formatted in FAT and not FAT32.

Sorry about the mistake.

So how many files have you got in the root of your player? Is it more than 99 files?

Did you managed to have more than 99 songs on your player?
