Did you mean to say you've tried to update your player with a DIFFERENT firmware file and it says "uknown flash error"?

Also, can I ask WHY you are updating the firmware on your player?

Another question is, what firmware you using? It might be INCOMPATIBLE with your player. Don't update your player in the hope of getting new features or bug fixes, as it won't do that.
