Default [solved] Using a nano clone with a Mac

Hey, everyone, I'm a newbie here. Great forum, I been checking it out for several days now. I'm considering purchasing a 1 Gig, 1.8" screen nano clone Mp4 player. Will I have problems connecting it to a Mac iBook running Tiger 10.4? I want to backup the firmware, and change the theme of the player to one of the themes here. I would also like to rip DVDs and format them to AMV, will I have any troubles doing that? Thanks for any help you can suggest.

bluaerio, Sorry but to the best of my knowledge there is no Mac version of the software for these players. You will be able to access your player as a USB Storage device and load music files etc to it but the video conversion, and backup software etc will not work. These are not good players to buy if you have a Mac.

tadad is correct. The backup tools and mod tools to mod your player doesn't work on a Mac.

However, not all is lost. People have said that installing the AMV Convert Tool on a PC EMULATOR for Mac works fine. So I would strongly suggest to you to install a PC EMULATOR software on your Mac then install the AMV Convert Tool on that.

Good luck and let me know if that answers your question.

Glad to help.
Let me know which one you decide to use and whether it works well or not. Would be great for other Mac users as well.
