Default Stupid MP4 owner part 2....

Thanks to both tadad1 and binh, admin for replying to my plea for help on the 12th of June.
I am so sorry I didn't get back earlier. Genuinely tried, just stumbled back across the site almost by accident after giving up last week

Umm, ok, tadad1, I'm going to read the tutorials right now. Hope it's not too difficult, I really am stupid. Just reading the instructions you placed is daunting enough without what you putting being a brief overview!

Binh, yeah, radio worked fine when first bought it about a week before I came here asking for help but I couldn't get it to charge. One day it just started charging. I didn't do anything, it just meant that I could now listen to it away from the pc it was attached to permanently. At the same time, I started getting the hard error message when selecting the radio.

If it looks too hard I really will not bother! Why can't I just drag files around like music!?

MP4 Owner Part 3......

As a clear indication of my level of computer and computer related intelligence, I can't actually figure out how to reply to a topic. I just wanted to add something to my last one.
Please please tell me how to reply to a topic and then how to download the manuals which tell me what to download. I really haven't got a clue. Not even a shred of a clue.
I mean, do I simply remove the operating system from the player, which to me is like lobotomising it, then feed it a new one.
I think, this is how it reads to me:
1) download tool to download operating system from player
2) download operating system from player, copy it and save it somewhere safe.
3) Download a program for uploading operating system
4) download a fresh clean unused, unabused operating system
5) upload the new operating system
6) expect it to be how it should be. radio n all.
Cos if that's it I think i can do it.
Well, if tadad1 will be so kind as to do the links one at a time,
e.g.
This one downloads the download tool: just save it

then

To extract system from player you need to:
1) plug it in
2) go to xyz in the system menu
3) etc etc
4) save it to a file called old system etc etc

then

this is an upload tool. download and save it.

I know i sound thick. Really I'm not but i'm still missing so much, when i read the how to modify a thingy site by the administrator i understand it perfectly, word for word. But, just what the hell do i plug the thing into and what do i do with it once it's there?!
P.s how do i reply to a messaeg in a topic?
