If you have been ripped off with a hacked player by a seller submit a report to www.ic3.gov

ok, i added a whole bunch of music in one folder, and all of it is for some reason some sort of wierd symbol instead of the mp3, and whenever I try to delete it it says "Cannot delete file: Cannot read from source file or disk."
If there is some way to reset, please tell me. I have tried almost everything and nothing works!

Abrar, OK, your problem could be that you have a player with a fake memory chip. There are more and more reports of people buying 1GB, 2GB, 4GB players that have much smaller memory chips that have been hacked so that they appear to be much larger capacity. The problems you are having are a good indication that this may be the case.
This post by Zaidon will explain the problem for you

I suggest that you try to format your player and see what happens.

Abrar

Try RENAMING the mp3 files to something that makes sense instead of the funny characters. I know my computer has problems opening files with square boxes and funny characters. As soon as I rename it in proper English characters, it opens up fine.

If that doesn't work, then try FORMATTING your player. It might just be corrupt somewhere along the line during the copy to your player.

Just make sure you have a backup of the files you want to keep just in case (ie the good songs that work).

Try that and let me know if that fixes your problem.
