Creating new folder
 

I have seen other threads that mention problems with only being able to see 99 songs. I am having a similar problem. I understand I need to put music in other folders, but how do I create other folders to put the music into?

MisaP, If you connect your player to your computer and open your player in Explorer then all you need to do is right click with your mouse and select New>Folder in the drop down menu then right click on the folder you created and select rname you can rename the folder. then just copy and paste your music files into the folder.

does this work in win98?
i just bought a new player, and tried to create a folde couple of days back.
after that player is unable to run even old music files in root directory. on starting and going to music menu - it says bye and shuts off.

javad, it has been a long time since I used 98 but I do not see why not. Some players though require that you have a specific folder layout while others will only let you store files in the Root directory. I have 2 Nano clones and they both let me create and name any folders without any problem.

thanks. trying to go through all the resources to know how to find whether folders are permited or needed in some specific forms - as the document with player do not have anything.

but will it depend on firmware? in taht case i try to go through firmware discussions also.
