prasanna, I know in some conversion software like Pocket DivxEncoder there is an option to increase volume. The other place you can alter volume is in the codec settings. I use K-Lite Mega Codec Pack and there are a heap of options for configuring codecs.

Try PocketDivxEncoder, it can be downloaded in the "Downloads" --> "Tools" section of this site. There is an option to increase the volume using this software. Then once you have increase the volume, convert it to .AMV.

The program actually has the option to increase the brightness and contrast too if you wanted to as some .amv's turn out to be darker than the original video file.

Good luck and let me know if this works or not.
