I haven't tried OGG or AAC, but I know it works for MP3 and WMA though.

I just did some testing.

Firmware version: 3.5.37 works with OGG files.

However, firmware 3.2.16 doesn't work with OGG.

I don't have a player with the version in between 3.2.16 and 3.5.37. If anyone does, can they confirm whether it works with OGG files?

Notice the file size is smaller with OGG files. Didn't notice much about the quality, but then again, it's probably because I converted an MP3 to OGG so probably didn't help.

Admin,My firm ware version is 3.5.35 and i am able to play the OGG files.
I also converted a mp3 to OGG anyhow will try converting a audio CD to OGG then we will know abt the quality.
But as per my searching in the net it seems like OGG is better when compared to mp3.
AAC is another format of apple, it is very less in size and much better in quality. But i doubt our players will play this format as orignal IPOD's play this format.

i always use ogg instead of mp3.. for ogg conversion i would recommed JetAudio. just convert to 48kbps Ogg, the sound quality will be same as orginal mp3 and file size will be about 1mb

You can use winLAME to convert your existing music files to OGG format. You can download it from our site here.
