cannot use mp3 player upgrade tool
 

i've downloaded the mp3 player utilities 3.68 from this site.. and while installing my antivirus detected a worm/trojan in the installer so i healed it and continued installing.. the other programs, converters, disk toll etc works fine except the firmware upgrade utility.. i can't uninstall the utilities except reinstalling them but the results are the same..
the only pssible solution that i could think of is downloading a 'clean' mp3 player utilities installer.. so do u guys happen to know anywhere else on where to find it? other websites perhaps?

theskems, Just doing a Google search for it will find you heaps of other download sites.
Are you using AVG Antivirus?

every version i try of 3.68 says it has virus's upon downloading it....so i delete them...I tried the 4.0 and it was ok, but when tried to upgrade firmware it gave an error, luckily didnt crash the new player!

What virus scanner do you have?

I haven't had this problem.

Has anyone else has problem with the 3.68 installer being detected as having a worm/trojan?

As far as I know, it is 'clean'.

i use trend micro's PC-Cillin, and i put in the cd they gave with the unit, and it has the same software actually, and it detects a virus for it too...

Binh, I have scanned it with Avast AntiVirus Pro and BitDefender Security Suite and get no virus warning.
