Rudy, Yes, the "Upgrade Firmware Information" is a bit wierd I do not know what is happening there.
Can you put the dump.bin into the s1fwx folder and run list.bat then copy the information in the command window and post it.

Rudy,

Just some questions:

1. Where did you get the firmware from?

2. The information on the right hand side is completely different from the information on the left hand side. ie: "Device information" is completely different from "firmware information".

3. Looking at your screenshot, the versions are different, so I would say the firmware you are using to update your player is incompatible with your player.

4. Is you are only wanting to change the themes on your player, then I suggest to run the 'extract.bat' from the s1fwx tool to extract your own firmware then use that to change the .bmp images. As looking at your screenshot, the firmware you are using is not the same as the firmware on your player.

1. The firmware was on a cd when i bought the player...
2. I have already tried to extract the dumb.bin and then modficate it but nothing happens.
3. What shoul I do?

Rudy, Your firmware (3.5.37) seems ok all the files appear to be there and there are no invalid entries.
Looking at your picture of the upgrade I think the problem is with the Mp3 Upgrade tool. I suggest you uninstall it and then install it again or try version 4.0 or 3.57 and see if you can use your firmware.

Also try extracting your firmware repair it and then upload it to your player. If that works the problem is with your modified firmware. If it does not load the problem is with the upload software.
