What software did you have on the cd? Did it come with any software or cd when you bought it?

It might be that you need a converter software that will convert it to an .AVI file that your player can play. It depends on the chipset your player uses.

Try downloading the UDisk Checker tool from here and tell us what information shows up.

Depending on your chipset, you will need the correct converter for it and also the file types it can play.

The box usually says that but means that those formats can be converted by the software provided so that it can play in your player. I was confused as well at first coz when I tried to copy any video files and play them it gave me a fomat error. When I tried to play the videos it opened a program in the player called AMV Player. I checked it up on the net and understood that I had to convert the file into AMV format.

If your player uses the same AMV Player program then you need to convert the files to AMV format. Else let us know what program it opens up so that we can help you figure it out.

Bread, When you say it will not let you put the files on your player, what message are you getting?
I also wonder if like iPods need iTunes in order to load files your player needs a proprietry program to load files.

Checked it up on the net for you. The video formats that the player recognises are ASF and MPEG4. You'll need to convert your files to one of those formats.

Bread

What message are you getting when you try to put the files onto your player? Could it be that it's running out of disk space too? Check the SIZE of your converted video size and check how much disk space is available.

lol it all makes sense now see i was startin with the format .wmv and tryin to convert it but it wouldnt let me so what i did was changed the usb mode then convert the .wmv to .avi then convert it again to .avi to a smaller size so it can fit on the screen but i think the real problem was the usb mode ,, well thanks for your time
