2Gb 1.5' MP4 Nano Clone - Disk capacity dropped to 1 Gb
Hello guys!
I just got my mp4 nano clone player from eBay a couple of days ago. It is a 2GB 1.5 inch screen player. I was copying files from HD to the player and suddenly, it couldn't copy files anymore, saying "incorrect parameter". So I deleted all the files on the mp3 (not formated) and decided to do a Scandisk on the player.Scandisk "filled" my player with nothing, and now it looks like it has 983 MB free, but it should have ~1900 Mb free ! I just dropped a few music on it, 657 Mb to be precise. Let's recap : Total memory : 1900 Mb Files : 657 Mb Free space expected : 1243 Mb Real free space : 306 Mb See (it's in French...): http://img103.imageshack.us/img103/3052/fre6ff.jpg Furthermore, when I look in the format disk tool, the tool tells me that my player has a capacity of 963 Mb. Is it a memory-hacked player ? That's what I think, I got a 1Gb instead of 2Gb. |

The memory chip is :
Samsung 619 K9WAG08U1A PCB0 The datasheet tells it is a 2Gb module... |
Donmerguez, You may have a hidden partition.
Try using the MP3 Player Disk Tool and check the Partition and Encrypt tab and make sure the slider is set to zero. |
