<<solved>> Problems with boot screen
Hi guys I've got a mpx player named Foston, model FS58A. I was trying to replace the boot screen with an animation, once the original one is a image with the foston logo. All the files in LOGO.RES was the same type, a picture with blue and white dots. When I changed the pictures from LOGO001 to LOGO016 with an animation, this not appeared on boot screen, but an animation with no definition. I was thinking I could update my firmaware 3.5.35 by 3.5.37 to get an animation on boot screen, but I really don't know if it's secure. The shut down animation works well. My mpx (1GB): device = 'S1 Mp3 Player' manufacturer = 'Wilson Co. Ltd.' bootflash type = 'F641' firmware version = 3.5.35 Could anyone help me? Thanks! |
Re: Problems with boot screen
I donīt think itīs a good idea to upgrade to version 37.....
I have read a lot of thinks in this forum about problems while doing that. Coud you please send us the animation that has the problem.... have you changed the shutdown animation too? |
Re: Problems with boot screen
I've already tried upgrade to .37 version... The player didn't turn on and the screen still black. So, I turned to version .35 e the player is working again.
I wonder maybe some file in .fw contains information about enable and blocking boot and shutdown animations, because all animations I tried has failed. But I don't know what change with an hex editor... 0_o I've changed the shutdown animation and it works well. |
Upa Mpx!, Can you upload your firmware to www.ezshare.de and leave a link so I can look at it.

Oh! Very cool!
It's working now! With a fine animation! :D Could I know what you change in the code? Thank you! |
Upa Mpx!,
As your shutdown animation was working alright I just made a copy of it (END.RES) and then renamed it and used it to replace your startup animation (LOGO.RES) as they both had the same amount of images. |
It was a good idea! Both files seem to be very similar.
