How to format to correct size?
I have a hacked 4gb Mp3/Mp4 player. Does anyone know how to format it back to its intend memory of 2gb. I have tried using the included software to no avail and also have had no luck with the Swissknife 3.
It needs a format as all the files I put on it now are corrupt. Regards, Hobbsy |
Re: How to format to correct size?
Ok people, I have actually found a solution. When I originally got this unit I tried to format it with Explorer but it would only give me Fat32 as an option. After formating it as a Fat32 in Swissknife explorer would allow me to format it as a 2gb Fat.

Great that you've found the solution. FAT32 can go well past 2GB. FAT has as limit of 2GB. Not all players can play FAT32 though. So after you've format it as FAT, you are able to fully use the 2GB's of storage and upload songs and fill the player to the max with it? Do you also get any errors when trying to play them on your player? |
