screen saver
 

hello.

i would just like to say this is agreat forum and everything has helped me so far,
except for i have just bought a new 512mb mp4 player off ebay, and i dont know how to change the screen saver? is it possible??
the current screen saver is pictures of chinese girls, but i want it changed. i know how to turn it off but not how to change it?? thanks

Guest, It depends on your player some have a couple of screensavers to choose from some have only one. Check all the enteries in your Settings menu to find if you have any options to do this.
If you can not change it you could use s1res to change it. It is basically just a series of images that repeat. If you extract your firmware using s1fwx and then open it with s1res and then look under the UI30.RES> icon heading you will find the images and can swap them with others by using the export/import buttons. The new pictures will have to be the same size. Then you can reload the firmware back to your player.
You can get s1fwx and s1res from the Download>Tools section and there are guides on how to use them in the Knowledge Base section.

i have onlny just got one, so i dont really know about extreacting firmware and stuff?
