( Solved ) s1fwx_v30 - cannot set f-mode ?
 
trying to extract the firmware, i get this error..

my player has this specs
Core - ACTS16D_15
FW - SRX3.2.16

Anyone has this firmware version ?

chriso, before running s1fwx try going to the settings menu on your player and there should be an entry called Firmware upgrade which will manually put your player into upgrade mode. Then run s1fwx and see if it works.

When i set in this mode the player does get detected in explorer.
only get the USB icon on taskbar

Ok

I managed to extract the firmware using a different computer .. weird but it worked flawlesly

im trying to load this firmware into a similar mp4, it loads but does not get recognised or boot....

back to shorting the chip......

I dont understand... its the original F/W but it still wont load


I have uploaded my dump here

chriso, I think I read somewhere that you need admin rights to use the program so maybe that is the difference between the 2 computers.
