darkspark2134, I do not know if one exists for SunPlus players, any forums I have read regarding them once they are cactus they can not be fixed or it needs to be done at factory level with the original programming gear. "yyttu" has a Sunplus player and has been combing the net for utilities for it but has not found any so far.
You can read his post HERE

darkspark2134, Not familiar with sunplus players but they must store the images on the drive somehow and formatting it has deleted them. If you set explorer to show hidden files and super hidden system files then browse the second player you may find the image files you need and can copying them to the first player may fix the problem. Just a guess mind you but a format will generally not cause any problems with firmware as it is generally stored in a locked sector of the drive.

darkspark2134,

The other thing you could try is there is a program called Undisker that can create backup drive images of USB devices, you could create an image on one and then load it to the other. It may include the missing files in the image.
