(Solved) Can't mod my mp4
Hi everybody,
I've got some problems modding my Nano Pod (2gb, 1.8 inch., FW 3.5.37, exactly like THIS but with another kind of menu). I extract the FW with s1fwx, modify it with s1res (just changed the intro sequence, 16 frames, respecting the same dimensions 128x160 px) and then upload FW to the player with MP3 player update tool (version 3.14, in bundle with my player). I click on "begin upgrading" and.... The answer is: "invalid upgrade firmware file!" and the settings on my player are resetted to default. The strange thing is that I receive the same type of error even if I send the original FW! I tried the newer update tool (3.57) but I get an "unknown file error". What can I do??? Thanks! P. |
Peter Panning, Did you repair the firmware using the repair.bat file after you extracted it. It will not load until you do this. Make sure the file is named dump.bin, place it in the s1fwx folder and run the repair.bat and you should then be able to load it to your player.
