Player is mirrored and upside down

I was using my mp4 player and suddenly the screen was mirrored and upside down. Its not one menu, its the entire player, every menus, videos, radio... even the boot screen.
Already turned OFF and its still happening.
I never installed anything on it, except videos and mp3, no firmware, nothing like that.

Anyone know whats happening ? I bought it one week ago, its very weird...

Thx.

Queuer, I have not heard of this happening before other than an incompatible firmware load. You could try extracting the firmware from your player with s1fwx, repair it then reload it back to your player if it is a file problem this may fix it. You will find s1fwx in the Download>Tools section and a guide to using it in the Knowledge Base section.

Re: Player is mirrored and upside down

Thx for helping me. I tried extracting the firmware, running repair and then I uploaded back to my MP4 but its still the same. I opened the dump.bin with s1res and all images look right to me, its the player thats inverting everything on itself I guess.

I got the FW version : F641 - 2005/02/09 3.5.35 - 2006/01/17 PMA300_007 (Wilson Co.)
The fullscreen images size are 128x160

What firmware version can I download to replace it ? Maybe a FULL FW, or it would kill the player ? There's version 3.5.37 too, should I use it ? Im waiting for your advice before proceeding.

Thx again.

Re: Player is mirrored and upside down

Well,

Turned my mp4 ON today and it was working normally. Or so I thought. After playing the first seconds of one movie to test, the screen started to shake, then it got half upside down. Im going to return it to the place that sold it to me and get a new one til friday (I hope).

Thanks again to you who tried to help me, but looks like it wasnt a FW problem, but a HW problem. (is it common ? haven't seen any one here yet)
