System Clock

My system clock runs too fast. In one day it moves 45 minutes ahead.
Is there a system to correct this.
Also what uses are there for this time keeping except marking the recordings with a name as per the current time.

chandnichowk, I do not know of any way to slow the clock down, I have 4 different players and they all run fast. It seems the only use is as you say to add a time stamp to recordings.

mameimo , do you use the On/Off switch on the top to turn the player on and off? If so, then everything when you switch to Off position, it would fully disconnect the battery supply, thus resetting the clock.
Try using the Play button to off the player instead.

This is one of the huge "battery saving" features I simply hate. I would really like to be able to turn off the darn player, without it having a lobotomy done on itself each time. If my player sits for a few days after being turned off using the middle "round" button (nano clone), it is dead, and must be plugged in to come back to life. I would love to use the power switch, but don't because the clock (and who knows what else) is lost.

Re: System Clock

I know that for my players, I need the clock settings for the sleep and turn off feature to work on my player. Never really took notice of the time itself though. Just needed to set a time up on it.

The main reason why you can't turn it off it that it has no CMOS battery built-in to save the clock settings when you turn off the player.

Husker , usually it is the settings that are lost if you turn off via the On/Off switch. Like the clock, some equaliser/volume settings, etc. Other than these, pretty much the firmware and music/video files stay in place. Just turn the player off first using the play button, then when it's off, switch it to off position.

i know the problem of the battery running low or flat, as i used to encounter it as well. i can fully charge it up before i leave in the morning, listen to music on the way to uni, turn it off (via play), and get a low battery by evening time.
