forza72 , Theming your own firmware is safe using someone elses already themed firmware is not you could kill your player.
To theme your player you need the following resources:

You need to first extract your firmware from your player using s1fwx.

Then you can change the images using s1res

Then reload your firmware to your player using MP3 Player Utilities Update Tool

Bought a MP4/MP3 with Colored LDC and radio in China.... It's all in Chinese! How can I make it "speak" english with me?

mfrebo, If you can find your way to the settings menu the Language setting is generally 3rd entry down and the English setting 2nd entry down.
