Default Fonts distorted?

Hi, I've got the "Wilson Co. Ltd" nano chipod clone, 1gb.

My radio works fine, menu navigation is fine, but most songs show up w/ asian characters, although some do not. I can't really figure out what's different between the songs that do and the songs that don't, but, you know, whatever.

I'm wondering, is there a way to fix this? I've backed up my firmware, I'm going to mess around some w/ the other themes, any help appreciated. Thanks!

tommelee, Try editing a couple of the mp3 tags in winamp or using a tag editor and see if it corrects the problem.

All the tags are fine, actually, I've just checked again. What's weird is that it only does it w/ some songs. Some display perfectly, some don't.

I can't get any audiobooks to display correctly, actually, which is extra frustrating because it doesn't put them in order, lol.

And it isn't true asian characters, it's the wingding type looking things you get in windows when a symbol isn't supported.

Hey
I used to had this problem. The thing was that all the songs that showed corupted tags were wma/wmv and NOT mp3 format. Check if the songs are indeed mp3. If they're not convert them to be mp3. I think the players only show correct tags if the songs are in mp3.

The player ***ONLY*** supports id3v1 tags.

When you play files with id3v2 tags it shows strange characters on the title, not the real name of the song.

Remove all id3v2 tags from the file and keep only id2v1 tags (i'd suggest to use mp3tag, options: delete only v2 tags) and i'll show the correct information.
