memory loss

Default memory loss


i have a problem with my memory.....
i bought a 1gb ipod.......it was working fine.....and i used it to transfer file from one pc to another as a storage card.the memory status showed 998mb.....but a few days back, i do't know y but the memory came down to 475mb..... wats wrong?

thomman85, Have you tried to format the player? Run the MP3 Player Disk Tool and select the Partition Encypt tab and make sure the slider is all the way left to zero.

If this does not help you may have a 512MB chip that was hacked to appear as a 1GB chip and the hack has failed. The only way to find out is to open the player and note the memory chip make and serial number and doing a google search with the info will find you the chips true specifications.
