vtdkny, It is not possible to change the fonts used. Although the firmware contains 4 different text maps editing them seems to have no effect to the fonts displayed. It is however possible to remove menu text if you want. If you open your firmware with s1res and go to the entry "UI30.RES" you will find an entry call "mstring" which contains all the different language text strings used in your player. You can change or delete them. You may find that when you save the firmware after editing the text that you get a Data Overflow warning, this has never caused any problems for me as the firmware has still loaded and worked fine but others have reported that Games, Text or Telbook features have no longer be accessible on their players. if this happens reload your original firmware.

In some firmware the menu text is part of an image so you can change the font by editing the image.
