Default Bought a supposedly 4gb player, some problems

Well when i got it i filled it up passed 2gb and now, i have files which dont exist on there that it wont let me delete and folders =/ is there any way to get rid of them? and if its reformatting, are there any risks involved? I've backed up my firmware.

Also, is there really no way of having all songs randomised? no matter the folder?

If there are any good suggestions for a noob like me lemme know =]

Skiwan, Sounds like a hacked 2GB chip. A format is really your only option for removing the hack and stoping file corruption. I would get on to your seller as soon as possible but most of the crooks are less than helpful.
A format should not effect your firmware but hacked chips can sometimes be a problem to format and you may need to use a formatting application, you will find a few in the Downloads\Tools section.
