Default Merging Firmware

First, glad to see that MyMpXPlayer is back and for a long time i Hope

I find on forum.S1mp3.org a topic explaining how to Upgrading a 3.5.35 firmware to a 3.5.37 version by using EasyFW (available in the download / tools section of this forum)

Follow the link: Instructions on how to update your firmware to 3.5.37 for more informations.

It seems to easy

I will try a soon as possible this method, and add more information on this post if necessary

I also find a software called WaterLily. It can enable hiding functions (FM / Game / eBook), reconfigure the keys of your player and more stuff. I upload ASAP

I hope that all these can contribute to create the "perfect firmware"

It says that this upgrade will now support file browsing? Do they mean separate files folders for mp3's? his is one feature i didn't realize these mp3 players lacked until i got mine. Has anyone gotten this to work? That would be fabulous.

3.5.35 firmware already support folder (up to 99 songs per folder).
With the 3.5.37 version, your can browse and select a specific song in your folders, function that is not supportted by the 3.5.35

last point, as as can read in many post the 3.5.37 seems to be faster than the 3.5.35

mine 3.5.37 nano clone doesn't seem to be very fust, also i have no browse function, not full 1024 mb, and only one game. so 3.5.37 is only a number; what's inside depends on who made it

I did it and it works!!!!

Thanks to loverboy1981 for his tuto (Instructions on how to update your firmware to 3.5.37 ) found on S1mp3.org.

First, my player infos:

F11-0GD Look-Like (4 directions joystick with button on the left and the right, 2 build-in speakers)
MP-680-CLV11 ( 2005-11-08 ) board
Original firmware
SC85052E
2006/04/11
ACT_v3.5.35

Some recommendations before to do the job:

- Backup your player firmware !!!!!
- Load your backuped firmware in Waterlilly and make screenschot of each windows to have a copy of the configuration of your player.
- Do the same with Easy FW

1st attempt :

I follow the loverboy1981 instructions.
Flash my player with no problem, wait until the player reboot before unplug (blue screen), it can take 1 minute.
The player boot correctly with the 3.5.37 GUI, and the first thing i check is the the file browsing function and it was there!!!!
I check the other functions: MP3 OK, AMV OK, Radio OK, Photos OK (Gif,BMP, Jpeg) but no game, Ebook, PhoneBook.
I activate the hiding function using Waterlily, but after in notice somme problem with the keys mappings (MP3 Player and games).
A good first try but not perfect.

2nd attempt:

Because the original 3.5.37 firmware suplied by loverboy1981 is for a nano-clone and my player is a F11-0GD Look-Like the problemcome from the KY_HARD.DRV.
I find a 3.5.37 F11-0GD firmware (Link) and with the instructions of loverboy1981 i replace the KY_HARD.DRV. of my 1st 3.5.37 firmware mod with the new one.
After flashing i use Waterlily to remap the keys like in my original firmware (Screenshot)
No problem with MP3 player but with the games the problem was still here.
Close, Near close.

3st attempt:

This time i decide to replace the GAME.AP with the same procedure as in the 2nd attempt.
And NOW it's work FINE !!!!!!!

(In order to get file browsing) I did it exactly the way loverboy 1981 described and it doesnīt work.

But i found a web site of Wilson Electronics (Shenzhen) Co, Ltd: http://www.exportbureau.com/company_...henzhen_co_ltd

Maybe someone can ask them the right questions about upgrading an file browsing? [after all file browsing works with the "delete"-function]. I canīt do it because I am not qualified (like loverboy1981) and I am not able to express myself in english as it would be necessary.

Laito , there are many variants of 3.5.37. The manufacturers do not follow proper versions control, to a state where now the version number do not really mean a thing. My player is a 3.5.37 too, but it only supports folder browsing, not file browsing.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

I have downloded EasyFW 3.7 and installed it in Windows XP.

When I load my firmware or loverboy1981's "myfirmware.bin" into the program, the software doesn't save the firmware.

I go to C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Temp, but there is no ACT folder in the temp folder.

Any idea what I may be doing wrong?

I would love to see if I can add file browsing to my player.

Thanks for any help!

bluaerio, the ACT folder is only created while the app is running, if you close it down it is deleted. While it is running copy the folder to your desktop.
