I have the same problem which accidentally formatted my fake 8 gb ipod nano A1137 mp4 player. The player showed hourglass when turned on and can't recognize in my computer running sp2 windows xp.
appreciate your help.

Details of player;

IPOD
S/N: 7N5530VFSZB
Designed by Apple in California, Assembled in China.
Model No. A1137 EMC No.2066 Rated 5-30VDC, 1A Max.
