Re: Loss Of Memory

Yes, you should demand a full refund for the both players from your seller. Prices for a 8GB & 128MB player are way too far apart.

And also you might take note that there isin't any 8GB or 4GB flash memory players currently. Except Apple iPod 8GB Nanos which were recently introduced, and 4GB Nanos since a long time ago.

Good luck.

antoonioo, The Hynix HY27UF081G2M is 1 GigaBit which is only 128 MegaBytes as well.

The "Erase Flash" button will completely erase your firmware from your chip.

it is possible to change this my 8gb to real 1gb?
and when i completely erase firmware from chip can i do something with tis player??

tadad1 22nd Sep 2006 2:38 am

antoonioo,
I do not recommend you erase the flash as you may not be able to reload your firmware.

If you are concerned about your chips size do a double format with MP3 Player Disk Tool by going to the Partition Encrypt tab and move slider all the way right and format then move it all the way left again and format again.

antoonioo, as mentioned earlier in this thread, according to the memory chip number you typed, both the Samsung & Hynix chips are 128MB memory chips. After formatting you have 108Mb as some space are used up by the player's firmware.

You can't do anything to make your memory chip back to 1GigaByte or 8GigaByte. As simply your memory chip is only 128MB. Simply saying, you can't store 8Litres of water in a 1Litre bottle.

go get a refund and do not buy from that person again, remember the largest size memory for a mpx player is ONLY 2GB right now!

If you see ads or sellers selling players with more memory than this, 100% the players have been hacked and will have a lot less memory than advertised.
