Default iPod nano clone

Well...

This is my iPod nano clone http://www.mympxplayer.org/album_showpage.php?pic_id=87

I had this original firmware SC85051C 2006/03/29 ACT_V3.5.35. I wasn't too happy with this "flowery"
appearance so I decided to update firmware. Of cource I didn't do firmware backup and result was blue screen player. (If you have this firmware please upload it to http://www.mympxplayer.org and let me know)

I downloaded several .bin files and managed to recover my player. Current firmware is
DQ8515C 2005/12/20 3.5.35 2005/11/22 and this is working.

PROBLEMS:

1. With original firmware I could upload easily 1.5 GB music to my player. Well it took a while.
With current firmware my player capasity is 110 MB. How is this possible?

Chips:
ATJ2085W and Hynix HY27UF081G2M.

2. With current firmware display is allways on and play time is about 2 hours (too little). Any solution
to adjust display settings to gain more play time.

Keep iPodding...

Prospector,
First thing I notice from your pictures is your player is labeled 4GB. 4GB players like this do not exist they are fakes with chips hacked to read and behave larger than they really are in your case much larger. As you can see HERE Hynix do not make a 4GB chip, the largest chip they make is a 16Gigabit which is 2GigaByte.
According to the Hynix specification sheet HERE the Hynix HY27UF081G2M is a 1Gigabit chip which is 128MB. Flashing or formatting will remove the hack and expose the true size of the chip. You should ask your supplier how a 4GB player only has a 128MB chip and demand a full refund.

balloballo, Once the hack is removed from a hacked chip there is no way to restore it. Prospectors firmware is not suited to your players hardware you need to keep searching for a better firmware match.
