iPod nano lool-alike installing problems

Hey guys...
Well, i finally somehow found this place & its my last hope...
Few days ago I bought this mp4 player, its actually IDENTICAL to the one Prospector has, at least it looks like, comparing his pics to my player...
I first had some issues with the contact, the freakin player couldnt turn on, the on/off switch button didnt quite work, anyway i turned it to the ''mechanincs'' of the store i got it from, they fixed it & everythins great, but then...
when i plugged it on the usb cable, it doesnt even recognize it!!!
*sigh* i have no idea what the hell is wrong with it...
i mean, the Windows XP SHOULD recognize & install new device w/o stupid drivers or whatever, but it doesnt... when i scan for new device, i get a small popup on the start trey sayin usb device not recognized & its not even on the list...
ok, then theres the installation cd that came w the player...
it has all these crappy & not useful things, & the 2 ''installation'' files dont seem to work...
these are the filenames:
InstMsiA.exe
InstMsiW.exe

and when i click on any of them, i get this freakin msg:
''Wrong OS or OS version for application''

ok, if ANYONE has any idea what can i do, is there a way this thing can be installed, bc its no use of the player if i cant even c it on pc!
which means i cnt put songs... duh...

btw, the player is:
Allfine M9710 - mp4 player, 1gb, radio, e-book, bla, bla, bla...
its from China (what else... only they make sth that doesnt work somehow)

Thanx guys... If anyone can help... :(

honeybfly_jr, It could be a problem with your USB cable try connecting to another PC if one is available or take it back to your supplier and see if they have the problem.

If you've tried it on four different computers, then it sounds like while it was in for repairs, they might have stuffed up the USB input on the player somehow.

I would suggest taking it back to them and tell them what the problem is. They are the ones that fixed it so would know what was done on it.
