Re: format error on mp4

What filesize was the AMV file that you put in your player? Also, was the resolution suitable for your player (ie. 128x128 for 1.5")?
If you suspect your player memory was hacked (which could be why you experienced the Format Error), you could try performing a low-level format with the Disk Tool that came with the MP3 Utilities. That way you'll be able to know the real memory size.

Onleeyoo,
Download some sample amv files from site first and see if they run on your player, that way we can find if the problem is with your conversion or with your player.

Re: format error on mp4

Hey
I have the same problem with my player and found a stupid solution.
I make a backup of all my files from the mp4-player.
Then i format the disk of the mp4-player with windows-format(rightclick on your drivenumber in ---my computer---.
Couse i cant format with the tool they gave me in the program on the driverdisc. BTW on the disc supported by the player is a virus.
Oke after formating the player to fat32 i upload the amv-movie's on the disc and look if they works.
And on my player the works
Then i upload my backup again en everything is working exept uploading a amv-file.
So when i want to place a new movie a have to do it all over again.
First after formatting upload all the movies and than upload the rest.
Maybe there is a more easy solution ? But you can give this a try.
As a try , i put mission inpossible 3 on it ( its 357 mb ) and it works.
I only need new glasses to watch it. But its a nice toy.

hanveld,

Thanks for your suggestion.

It's interesting that after the format then uploading the firmware, it won't allow you to upload .AMV music again......

So what you did was just formatted the player then didn't do the firmware reload? You just left the player as it is after the format?
