Re: need help for firmware

capa57, is your player dead? If it is, you will need to follow the dead player recovery guide at: http://www.mympxplayer.org/viewtopic.php?t=567

My player is of similiar specifications as yours, and once you have managed to get your player detected by your computer, you can try using my uploaded firmware at: http://www.mympxplayer.org/dload.php...le&file_id=326
But note that my player is 1.5" screen.

If your player is still functioning alright, it would be adviseable not to change your firmware as it might kill your player. However, you can still change the display screens using the steps here: http://www.mympxplayer.org/viewtopic.php?t=206
But you will need to extract your existing firmware and edit from there to be safe, step are here: http://www.mympxplayer.org/viewtopic.php?t=66

Re: need help for firmware

capa57, currently your problem is that you haven't found a suitable firmware for your player. You will need to keep looking and trying various firmwares until you can get your player working again. But however, using the wrong firmware would kill your player again and you will need to repeat the Dead Player Recovery to get it detected by your computer again.

It would be helpful if you could provide more information about your player, like the board number and pictures of your player. This way someone with a similiar player might be able to send you or give you a link to their firmware.

Can anybody help me please!

I just downloaded the "firmware upgrade utility" to my generic mp4 player and since it is dead. Is there a way I can get the old firmware back?

Appreciate any help

mo, If you did not backup the firmware before uploading another then there is no way to recover your original as it has been erased.

capa57, i'm not sure where your problem lies, for my player, the brightness range is from 1 to 15, i don't seem to have upto 31.
What i'm suspecting is that the current firmware you've uploaded into your player is not totally compatible, hence the screen is totally white-out.
You'll need to keep trying various firmwares till you hit the right one.
