missing file browser ?

Hi,
I searched the forum and if I have undestood well the file browser feature should allow me to choos the audio file I want to play directly from the folder selection menu. This feature should be supported from version 3.5.35 of the firmware. If this is correct the my player is missing this as I can only select a folder, then the player starts playing the first file. Can I fix this ?

my player is a:
device = 'S1 Mp3 Player'
manufacturer = 'Wilson Co. Ltd.'
firmware type = 'F641'
firmware version = 3.5.37
with a 2gb memory (real, not fake

)

the player has the following wirmware info:
ACTS16D_37 2006/04/14
3.5.37-001 2006/4/14

thl, currently most nano-clones do not support file browsing, only folder browsing. The recent thread by Rolleyflex at http://www.mympxplayer.org/viewtopic.php?t=1485 talks about merging various firmwares to enable the file browsing function. It may or may not work for you. But take note that by merging wrong firmwares together, you not only risk killing your player, you might even render your player totally dead unable to recover.

thanks for the info. I think I will live with that feature missing, at least for a while

Warning, this file browser is not really a SUPER feature cause it's not enable while listen music (you have to stop the music to browse : :wink: ... do not compare it to the Apple Nano Ipod File browser ...
