Help with MP4 player and Windows98

I hope you can help. As indicated I have a Windows98 computer and an MP4 player. The player plays the music provided on it, the screen and radio etc work OK. However I have been unable to download anything from my computer to it. As the computer is running Wind98 I put the Driver CD in the disc drive and ran that. This produced 2 folders on my desk top, MPset-up and MP3 Player utilities 368. When I opened the former it installed Media Player 9, when I open the second it contains AMV Player, AMV Convert tool, MP3Player Disc Tool, MP3Player Upgrade tool and Sound Convert tool. When I try to open the MP3 Disc tool, it says 'not detected removable disk' and then the format/encrypting box follows containing no data. When I switch on my player connected to the computer it shows the 'waiting mode'. If I look in Windows Explorer it shows the MP3Utilities older but no'removable disc' connection. When I used the new hardware wizard it said aUSB Mass Storage device was installed. Is it possible for you to explain simply , how to get my Player to download music from my computer, Please?

Re: Help with MP4 player and Windows98

We have Windows 98 drivers here:

[ Downloads -> Tools -> Drivers/Codecs ]

"Downloads" link is on the left hand side menu bar.

There are three different Win 98 driver packs for you to try. Hopefully one of them will be suitable for your player.

Try those and let us know which one works for you.

Re: Help with MP4 player and Windows98

Thank you. I have now downloaded the 3 drivers (they are on my desktop with the MP3 utilities. the latter folder is also in Windows explorer on driveC, although I have not been able to locate the 3 drivers I have downloaded in Explorer. Also my MP3 player(removable disc) does not appear in Explorer or on the task bar. When the MP3 Player is connected to the computer it seems to know as it is in 'waiting mode' -however the c0mputer does not know, 'unable to find removable disc' in Media Player or Windows Explorer or on task bar. What am I doing wrong? How do I get the computer to recognise the MP3 Player??!
