[solved] how to change the language back to english
 

Hi All, this seems like a very simple question,

But how do you change the language of the mp4 player back to english. i've used the S1fwx tool to extract the firmware from the player and then repaired it using the repair.bat then proceded to upload the new fixed firmware file, and was presented with a nice array of chinese characters
i've tried reloading the old firmware but to no avail

I would be grateful if someone could point me in the correct direction for setting this language back to English

markker, If you find your way to the setttings menu, then select 3rd entry from top then 2nd or 3rd from the top depending on your firmware.

Everytime you update your firmware again, it will be in Chinese. If you want it to ALWAYS default to English, then use "Firmware Modifier" to change the default language to English.

It will then write it into the dump.bin file so from then on, everytime you load that dump.bin file onto your player, the default language will always be English.
