Default [solved] The battery is not charged full!

Hello, i'm spanish so I don't speak english so well but i will try to explain:

Today I have recivied my "Chinapod" 1Gb like this: http://www.mympxplayer.org/album_showpage.php?pic_id=80

When I reciveid it I start charging it, I connect it to the electricity and I switch on it, and it start charging.
4 hours later y disconnect it from the electricity and the battery wasn't fully charged it was at half. So I put it 5 hours more and when I re - switch it on the battery was at the same charge, it is so strange.
I have thought that the first time that you charge it the battery doesn't charge full  I don't know..

I attach one pic of the screen where you can see the battery status when I finish charging it:

I wish you could help me!

Yusko,
Where possible use your PC usb to charge your player as wall chargers are unreliable and can strain your battery if used for more than 4-5 hours at a time.
With all power saving features set you should expect 5 - 7 hours continuous music play from your battery depending on it's mAh rating. Try charging it with the USB then see how long it will run for.

Yusko,

Take tadad's suggestion for starters and use the USB cable instead. I've had one USB wall charger 'blow up' on me so I don't trust them.

Leave your USB cable plugged into your computer for about 3-4 hours and make sure your comptuer is on as well. Afterwards, disconnect and check the battery status.

If it still shows up as 'half' then just try playing music on it (on "repeat" mode) and see how long it runs before the battery runs out?

Let us know if the result.

admin, tadad1, Thanks a lot. I tried using the usb cable with the computer and now it charges properly. I don't know why the wall charger doesn't charge... but if I can charge it by the USB cable: Not problem

Bye!

Your mp4 firmware looks diferent, the text with the bitrate and the type of file it's in a position that I never see, can you extract it and upload to this site ? or send to me at renesigma@gmail.com.

Just a few quick things to add to this thread.

I've also had one of these wall warts blow up on me. A loud pop and a little smoke. It had come from a smaller Chinese manufacturer I was evaluating earlier. The more recient ones seem to be built a little better. I'll post pics in a seperate thread later on. This could be a real safety problem.

Later,

Erik
