New to mp4 Players

Hi Guys,

This is my first post on here, recently purchased a 2Gb Nano clone for my girlfriend to listed to on her way to work (I'm not sure what the rules are on advertising here but the seller's name was 'apmmall' on the site that everyone uses and his service, delivery time and product were excellent!

The specs of the player are;
- 2Gb Samsung Memory
- 260k 1.8" TFT Screen
- Nano Dimensions

I've played around with the firmware a little, updating a few of the 1.5" myPod theme elements and making a few of my own to suit (if anyone would like a copy PM me). The firmware type is 'Wilson' (I can't remember the exact model number, and I don't have the player on me).

Anyway, getting to the question.....
The player has a 'Darkel' function (gotta love the translation), which I assume is actually darken. The manual describes that this function darkens the screen during inactivity. The feature seems to work great in every menu function except the Music player, instead the player chooses to play the screen saver (or just display the playing info if screen saver is disabled). Has anyone else worked out how to use this feature? Is it possible to use it during music playback? (I assume playing an mp3 and running the display at full brightness will quickly drain the battery!)

Thanks All!

Marc

MJT184, There have been a couple of posts about this but I do not know if a solution was found. The standard proceedure is to set the screen saver to 0 then darkle or black to 5, 10, 15 sec whatever you want, but for some this has been a problem.
Someone else once posted that they only way they could get it to work was to make the setting and then wait till the platey defaulted back to the menu rather than pressing play or menu to exit.
